Each process (application) in OS X or iOS is made up of one or more threads. Every application starts with a single thread Each thread has its own execution stack and is scheduled for runtime separately by the kernel. A thread can communicate with other threads and other processes. perform I/O operations, and do anything else you might need it to do. Oct 12, 2014 If you're a Mac user and speed runner and/or streamer, chances are you've used that search field with terms like 'mac' or 'os x,' probably in conjunction with 'stream' or 'record' or 'capture.' This is long overdue. I wanted a thread that centralizes the important information so those without knowledge can find all they need right away.
This document is a Mac OS X manual page. Manual pages are a command-line technologyfor providing documentation. You can view these manual pages locally using theman(1) command. These manual pages come from many different sources, and thus, have a variety of writingstyles. For more information about the manual page format, see the manual page for manpages(5). |
Jul 17, 2005 After my Mac OS X Installer opened and walked me through the installation process, I repaired permissions (just in case) and restarted my computer. So far, everything's running smoothly and I haven't noticed any problems. The appearance is really cool! Check out the desktop thread. Take a look at any of the good desktops. Betcha none came.
